Got started with Periscope, but still need to build up your targeted followers? Here are 5 ways to help:
1. Have a good title
Your title on Periscope should be focused and eye-capturing. While your topic should always be something your audience would find interesting, also make sure to focus on keywords and a maximum of two hashtags that describe what the broadcast will be about. Want people to notice your title over someone else’s? Throw some fun emojis in there that relate to your broadcast. You need to draw people in, so do what it takes!
2. have your audience invite their followers
So now that you have a broadcast with an interesting topic and a great title, you need to maximize on the amount of people who see your scope. The best way you can do this, aside from sharing it with your own followers, is to ask your audience to invite their followers.. If someone in your audience believes they will benefit from your broadcast, they are more likely to share your broadcast with their followers because they can benefit, too.
Tip: Try to scope at times that are convenient for both you and your audience. A great way to get a bigger audience is to scope at the time you notice most people are using Periscope.

3. Encourage interaction in your audience
Periscope, like most social media apps, is all about interaction and one of the best features of Periscope is its chat option. When someone is watching your scope, they are able to communicate with both you (because you’ll see the chat) and other audience members.
Encourage your audience to ask each other questions, to have debates, or simply share who they are and what it is that they do. If most people on your scope get to know each other, it is more of a targeted audience!

4. Be sure to post your 24-hour replay link on social media
When you finish your scope, you’ll can get a 24-hour replay link. It’s important to share this with your followers on all of your social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and even LinkedIn) for many reasons:
- If someone missed your broadcast, they are able to watch it later on
- Maybe you’ve connected with someone new and they had no idea you had a broadcast
- Others can share it and the more people who see the broadcast, the better
- It can remind someone that you broadcast and they can make sure to catch it live next time
5. support people that have been on your broadcast
A lot of people don’t realize that followership is a two-way street. If someone is giving you support by being active in your scope’s chat or sharing your scope with their followers, do the same for them. This creates a great connection!
